Catholic Schools Week

Published on January 20, 2022

Sunday, 23rdJanuary, marks the beginning of Catholic Schools Week 2022.

The past year has once again been a very  year for students and indeed for the whole school community. At present there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel and we have a sense of hope. Catholic Schools this year focuses on living our lives with the hope of a brighter tomorrow and reconnecting with the wider community as the country opens up and restrictions are reduced. The theme for this year is “Catholic Schools: Living Life to the Full”. We take this opportunity to thank all those who make our schools such places of welcome and enable all to live life to the full; to our Principals, Teachers and School staff, to all our Children, to those who give of their time in a voluntary capacity on Boards of Managements of each school& all who are connected with our school communities.

PRAYER FOR CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK:

Loving God, as we gather today we thank you for your presence with us. Help our school communities enable each person to live life to the full, and see themselves and others as made for loving and kind relationships with God, each other and the world around us. May we become more and more like your son Jesus who, by his life and ministry, showed us how to treat one another, especially the poor. May your Holy Spirit guide us as we journey together in faith, hope and love. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
